Notes:  Released in 1997, the Patek Philippe Aquanaut offered collectors an alternative to the Nautilus with a slightly more casual twist. Originally made as a limited edition series via the ref. 5060 adopting a similar case design to the Nautilus, the Aquanaut opted for a smaller case dimension at 36mm diameter. Initially produced with only 1,000 examples, Patek Philippe decided to release the Aquanaut as a regular production model via the ref. 5065, which was also the first Patek Philippe wristwatch to incorporate a rubber strap. 

Earning its nickname the “Jumbo” due to its large dimensions at 38 mm diameter, the ref. 5065 was aesthetically similar to its limited edition predecessor, although featuring a transparent sapphire caseback allowing the wearer to enjoy the quality craftsmanship of the cal. 315 SC. 

Preserved in excellent overall condition and accompanied by its original Certificate of Origin, the present Patek Philippe Aquanaut ref. 5065A-001 is certainly a fruitful timepiece to acquire.
