Biography:
Eleven years after the Royal Oak was introduced, Audemars Piguet released a complicated take on its iconic luxury sports watch. The Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar that debuted in 1983 is considered the forerunner for the complicated sports watch genre. The present watch is a skeletonized version, both the sapphire display back and the skeletonized dial enable the viewer to clearly see how spectacular the movement was made from the front and back. It is noteworthy that the rotor and the bridges were not just skeletonized, they are also finely engraved with complex vine motifs. Preserved in new condition kept in the safe from the first owner and is completed with all of its accessories, this Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Openworked is without doubt an immensely pleasing watch to wear and enjoy.
